The 5-Step Admission Process

The admission process at IIHMR University is designed to be transparent, merit-based, and holistic.

01

Step 1: Apply Online.

Begin by visiting the official portal:
https://applications.iihmr.edu.in/.
Register yourself, verify your email, fill out the online application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the non-refundable application fee. The MPH application process starts here too, candidates use the same portal, with no separate form required for the MPH programme.

Tip: Apply early! The fee is ₹1,000 if you apply by February 28, 2026, and increases to ₹2,000 for later applications (last date: July 25, 2026).

02

Step 2: Shortlisting

Candidates are shortlisted based on their graduation marks and a valid score in recognized national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, NMAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GPAT (for Pharma), or CUET-PG*. If you haven’t taken these, you must qualify through the university’s own aptitude test: IIHMRU-MAT. The same criteria define MPH eligibility in India at IIHMR — your graduation marks combined with a valid entrance score (or the IIHMRU-MAT).

03

Step 3: The GD-PI Process (Online & Offline)

Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The university offers the flexibility of participating in these rounds online, which is incredibly convenient for out-of-state applicants.

  • Group Discussion (GD): Evaluates your learning aptitude, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Personal Interview (PI): Assesses your motivation, career clarity, attitude, and overall fit for the chosen programme.
04

Step 4: Final Selection

Your final selection is a composite evaluation based on your Entrance Test Score, Graduation Marks, GD performance, and PI performance.

05

Step 5: Admission Offer

Successful candidates are officially issued an admission offer letter.

  • Format: It is a 2.5-hour online exam.
  • Structure: The test features 5 sections, each with 30 questions: Language Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude,
Data Analysis, Logical Reasoning, and Critical Reasoning & General Awareness.
  • Registration: The fee is just ₹500 (separate from the main application fee). You can take the exam up to three
times (an initial attempt plus two retakes) to improve your score.
